A source signal may be a primary document, official release, on-record quote, regulatory record, reputable secondary report, verified data point, court document, or peer-reviewed citation.

NEXUS shows readers where reporting signals came from and separates confirmed facts from reported or disputed claims.
Aggregation rules
Aggregated signals can inform a story, but the published article must be its own work. We avoid replacing the original publisher experience and link back to important source material when practical.
Images and media
Images must be owned, licensed, embedded from a permitted source, or from a clearly allowed public/free-use provider. Header images should match the article context and include meaningful alt text.
